Wow, has it really been six weeks already? I guess it’s like they say, time flies when you’re having fun! This room has come so far since we bought our house. Granted our master bedroom isn’t exactly where I want her, she sure is far from where she was! Lets take a walk down memory lane to where we were when we started. Here’s how our bedroom looked before we moved in –
That gross carpet and torn wall paper isn’t easily forgotten.
Here’s where we are today –
If you missed it, here is the paneled headboard how-to from week 4.
You can see what these, once-mirrors looked like before from week 2.
Big thanks to Wayfair.com for sponsoring part of my bedroom makeover. You can find these lamps here.
We got a lot done in this space in a short amount of time. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. There’s a few things that we just didn’t get around to, such as the old ceiling fan and new roman window shades. Regardless, I’m so pleased to have accomplished my first ORC. This is finally a space I want to sit back and enjoy breakfast in bed!
Be sure to check out the other beautiful spaces in the ORC here.

Thank you much Lindi. That means a lot to me. You’ve made my night! I’m so glad I could inspire. The bench is also one of my favorites. It moved around my house for a little while until I finally decided that it belonged in my bedroom. ?

You definitely win for worst Before photo. What a transformation! Now its serene, bright and charming. Well done!
Hahaha Yes! Well, actually this was the photo right after we got done snow shoveling the trash and items left behind from the previous owners. I would have posted that photo but I wasn’t sure it would be a good idea in case the other owners ever find my blog… but thanks girl!
Beautiful job! I love that headboard!
Thanks Kari 🙂
This room turned out very nice and cozy. Great job!
Thanks Justynn!
Amanda, you and I have very similar styles – this room is right up my alley!! Love that headboard and am wild over that gorgeous settee at the end of your bed. One of the most dramatic changes from the before pics that I’ve seen!
Thank you so much Kris! That settee is one of my favorite items. It has moved around in my house until I finally decided my bedroom was the perfect spot. 🙂
WOW! This is such a beautiful transformation! I’m obsessed with everything…but that headboard in particular! Well done!! xo
Thank you so much Jenna! You’ve made my morning 🙂

Thank you so much Iris!
So very lovely Amanda! That iron board console is genius and the head board? perfect! Congrats and CHEERS to us for another room done!
Thank you so much Vel! I’m so in love with that antique ironing board. I have a feeling it’ll end up in other parts of my house at some point. 🙂
I can hardly believe that’s the same room! It’s beautiful! I love all of the accessories and finishing touches you added around the room. I seriously love everything!
Thanks Sam! It’s the same room, just cleaner and brighter. I can’t tell you have gross it was before we move in!
Oh my goodness! What an amazing transformation. I love the head board you created. Well done!!!
Thank you Tammy 🙂
You did an amazing job with this room, I love everything about it, Love the way you styled the bed! Did you send the TV wiring through the wall?
Thank you Marsha! We did wire the TV cords behind the wall. My hubby did it. It’s fairly easy.
This room room is beautiful! I can’t believe you did it all in six weeks! There are so many lovely details. My favorites are the headboard, suitcases, ironing board table and that stunning tiger oak dresser/nightstand! Good call not painting over that gorgeous grain! 🙂
Thank you so much Meg 🙂 I thought about painting the nightstand for a hot second and ultimately decided against it. I’m so glad I did. I think it makes it’s own little statement just fine the way it is.
Fabulous job!! Thanks for sharing at the Pretty Project Party!
Thanks Julie! 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous! I cannot believe how far this room has come along.
Thank you so much Erin! 🙂
Love this room! Everything, your choice of colors, furniture, fabrics – it’s so soothing and relaxing! Did you paint the tall dresser? If so, what brand of paint and what color? I absolutely love it! And that headboard!! I’m going to see the post you have on the details and see if I can convince my husband to make one for our bedroom 🙂 Your home is gorgeous! So happy I found your blog!
Hey Amanda! The room turned out fabulous! I’m sure y’all have been enjoying the comfiness of it since y’all reno’d it!!! I have a question about the lights, these are the kind of lights that I want to put on the king size+ wood headboard I’m going to make, but I don’t want them hardwired; how did y’all get yours to be plug-ins? Was it hard to do?
