Where are all my chocolate lovers? February has always been one of my favorite months. We don’t make a big deal over Valentine’s Day in our house. We normally celebrate with one of our favorite meals and a movie in. I do make sure we have some kind of rich dessert. I’ve never been much of a candy or sweets person but I do love chocolate! I mentioned that I started the Whole 30 a couple of weeks ago on IG due to suffering from chronic migraines. I’m happy to say that it’s been going great and I’ll be finishing up right before Valentine’s Day! Perfect timing, right? I plan to stick with the habits I’ve created in the last few weeks because I’ve felt so much better but I don’t think I’ll be able to resist one of these rich mini French chocolate tarts!

Over the summer I shared our favorite French chocolate tart recipe with you all. It’s a creamy, decadent tart that can be topped with fruit. It’s the perfect dessert for Valentine’s Day. I took that same recipes and made these heart shaped tarts in my new mini pans. I think they turned out quite cute and it’s really the perfect size. Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner I thought these would be the perfect thing to share for this month’s Cozy Living series, hosted by my talented friend Jennifer from Town and Country Living. Baking has always been a source of joy for me. Over the last few months especially I’ve been relishing more in the simple things. I’ve cut out a lot of distractions as much as possible and have really focused on my family and home. It’s been so nice to get back to basics.
You can find my recipe for the tart here:
Chocolate French Tart
I used 4″ heart pans and this recipe makes enough for at least 6 tarts. I did remove them from the oven a couple of minutes early. Just keep an eye on them to keep the crust from getting too dark.
These also make such great gifts. Use a little parchment paper in a simple box and tie up with ribbon. It’s a treat everyone is sure to love!
However you celebrate Valentine’s Day and create a cozy home I wish you a happy Valentine’s Day and a wonderful month! I hope you’ll check out what my sweet friends have for you today as they share their stories, recipes and cozy how-to’s.

Oh my stars! How phenomenal these look! I’ve changed my WOE, for about a year now… because of headaches too (not migraines), goodness they are not fun! I think these might be worth the risk of a headache though! YUM!
