Are you anxious to decorate for Christmas? I know it’s not quite time but we’re being featured in American Farmhouse Style’s holiday issue. After flipping through it, I’m so inspired and can’t wait to decorate!
Today I can finally let you in on a little secret we’ve been keeping. We’re being featured in American Farmhouse Style’s Christmas issue! Our tour from 2019 got an eight page spread and we couldn’t be more thrilled with it. I think I say that it’s my favorite feature with each one, but something about this one really has inspired me. I had said that I wasn’t going to decorate for Christmas until closer to Thanksgiving but after flipping through this issue, I might have to rethink that.
Many of you have asked me in the past what it was like to have a camera crew come in and friends, I still don’t know. Just like in the past, they decided to use my photography. At times I’m a bit bummed because I do think that it would be a fun experience to have a crew come in but at the same time I feel honored that they consider my photography to be good enough to publish. Silver linings, right?
In this issue, I shared a few tips on decorating with fresh greenery and some details on the Christmas decor I use and what it means to my family. You won’t find a different themed tree in our home every year. I love getting to see our ornaments that we’ve collected over the years at Christmas. To switch things up, I like to change which tree goes into what room and I usually swap out the ribbon and floral stems I use. This allows us to have a fresh look, while still enjoying those sentimental ornaments.
This month I started planning each room and what colors I wanted to incorporate on each tree. I’m so excited to get started and share some fresh ideas with you! My hope is that this holiday issue of American Farmhouse Style leaves you feeling inspired and ready to decorate. I’m beyond grateful to be given an opportunity to share ideas with others and to have this job. We’ll always be thankful for your constant encouragement, canter and friendship. Go pick up a copy and have a wonderful holiday season!
