Okay folks, I have to be really honest with you all. Ever since my blog has required more attention my cooking & baking routine has suffered. I tend to fall off the wagon when it comes to making more than our regular three meals. The true fact of the matter is that I was never that in love with cooking to begin with. Design has always been my first love. On days that I do bake, I want it to be a quick and easy process. Since it’s peach season, I thought peach cobbler would be an appropriate summer dessert to serve up. When I found this quick recipe online for peach cobbler, I knew it would be perfect for this busy season we’re currently in.
I personally use freshly milled flour in my recipes. Yes, you read that right…flour I mill at my house in my grain mill! It’s mainly for the health benefit but it’s pretty tasty too. I have adapted this recipe to be used with the freshly milled flour but I have also listed the original ingredients.
[yumprint-recipe id=’9′]Is this not the cutest little ceramic measuring cup you’ve ever seen?! You can find it here. One of my favorite kitchen utensils by far!
Is there anyone who doesn’t want ice cream on their peach cobbler? I say, “scoop away!”
I used the 8 oz. wide mouth Ball jars. I found mine at Target. I believe they were under $5 for four jars. If you already have jars available to you, use what you’ve got. You really can bake just about anything in these jars. Some of you maybe thinking, why in a jar? Well, isn’t everything cuter in a jar?! I must say. with how easy these were to serve, I’m going to be using this jar method more often. This is such a great way to serve any kind of dessert at a party or get together. No mess, no fuss!
Until next time, have an awesome Thursday and up coming weekend friends!
