All Natural Chewy Granola Bars

Servings 1 9 x 13 Pan

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sucanat or preferred dry natural sugar
  • 2/3 cup Peanut butter or almond butter
  • 3/4 cup Raw honey of choice
  • 2 tbsp Hot water
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Freshly milled flour
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped nuts Walnuts or pecans work great
  • 1/2 cup Dried cranberries or raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup Chocolate Chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar, nut butter, honey, vanilla and water until well mixed.

  2. Add the rolled oats, flour, sunflower seeds, nuts and optional ingredients and stir.

  3. Press into a greased 9x13" pan.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden.

  5. Cool and cut into bars. You should be able to get 24 bars. This recipe can be converted to your taste preferences. Store at room temperature.
