Good morning! It’s been a few days. In a time when the decorating posts are at an all time high and everyone wants to get those Christmas ideas together, I find myself retreating to my family. Some times I feel like I’m working against myself and my blog. 😆 My thoughts currently - more time off social media and focus on home and family without the need to share every moment with the whole world. Savor Thanksgiving and all that it means as Christians and Americans without Christmas impeding. Lastly, find contentment in all stages of life and situations, even those that we’re not pleased with. I have some fresh greenery arriving tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited. There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh cedar Garland at Christmas. I love to use fresh greenery clippings throughout our home. The shelves in our breakfast nook always get a few sprigs.

I snapped a couple photos of Charlie’s tree this week after we finished decorating it. His tree might just be my fave. Several of the ornaments are from my mom and were purchased when she and my dad got married. Others have been collected over the years and have a special meaning to Charlie. Well hello! I’ve been a bit MIA over the last few days. We had one crazy week with too many things to list. My Christmas decorating has seriously stalled and that’s okay. I only enjoy decorating when I feel inspired and last week wasn’t so inspiring, to be honest. 😆 Here’s a look back at last years mantel. Fresh greenery is my favorite kind. I’m playing with the idea of using faux this year... not sure though. Do you pretty real or faux?
