Can you believe it friends, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I’m looking forward to a laid back day here at home with my family. If you’re like me you probably don’t really decorate for Valentine’s Day. This year I wanted to make sure I did something little special for the day. My family and I don’t typically do anything big for the day, just dinner and time with each other. This year I decided to throw a fun breakfast together. My husband and son love pancakes. So what’s more fun than a heart shaped pancake breakfast?
I’m so glad a few great friends joined with me to show you their Valentine’s Day tables and centerpieces as well. You don’t have to do anything fancy to make the day special!
These adorable paper heart doilies were only a $1 at Target and make the perfect little banner to add a touch of the holiday without the stress of decorating.
Some fresh tulips and eucalyptus make for an easy and lovely centerpiece.
For the heart shaped pancakes I used my favorite pancake recipe and made the heart shape using a condiment squeeze bottle from the $1 store to make the heart shape on a griddle.
There’s so many simple and inexpensive things you can do to make the day special. I’m looking forward to sitting around the table and enjoying some great time with my little family. How do you celebrate Valentine’s day? Does your family go all out or stick to simple?
There’s much more inspiration for you if you hop on over to these other lovely blogs. I hope you all have a wonderful and fun Valentine’s Day!

I do a few simple decorations – on our mantel and table in our entryway, and a wreath on the door – but the day is pretty low key for us, too. I usually make dinner and set the table with red place mats and white dishes and we have a special dessert. Thank you for sharing your Valentine table – I loved your arrangement with the tulips and eucalyptus!! Blessings…..

This is so gorgeous Amanda!
Thank you so much, Lisa! I’m so glad we got to share our tables together 🙂
Beautiful table! I am going to make the heart shaped pancakes for my grandson on the 14th! Would love to know your source for dining chairs. They are just what I am looking for!
Thank so much Vicki! The chairs are all thrift store finds. We originally found three and eventually found a fourth. I wish I knew of a source other than thrift stores and consignment stores but I don’t. Sorry about that! 🙂
