It’s that time of the year again friends! Thanksgiving is behind us and Christmas is just around the corner. I’m thrilled to be joining up with some amazing bloggers this holiday season to bring you my Christmas home tour. We’re also giving away $500! Make sure you enter to win before you go onto the next tour. These ladies have some beautiful decor for you this Christmas!
I don’t know about you, but these past few months we’ve been all over the place. We just sold our first home and are renovating our second fixer upper starting this week. Life has been very interesting and busy. With that said, I wanted to keep the decor simple and because purchasing new Christmas decor each year is not in the budget, I try to keep things timeless. I switch up the less inexpensive things like throw pillows and mantel decor.
Welcome! Come on in.
I dressed the entry way with mostly things I already had. I used twine and ribbon to hang a pair of mittens and some pine cones for texture. I stuffed my antique basket with a couple spruce stems and a hand painted fresh tree sign from the Farmhouse Fireman. I shopped the Target dollar spot for the other cute decor pieces.
My Christmas tree was a steal all on it’s own. I found this 7.5 ft. tree in the Ballard Design’s clearance department in July for $10! Yes, you read correctly… $10! It was pre-lit and I would say it’s pretty perfect! I’ve been collecting silver, red and mercury glass ornaments for years now and add a few more with each passing year. Each ornament was hand picked and each is different. With some plaid ribbon, burlap and sheet music garland, the tree is complete! It’s simple yet elegant. The pops of red scream Christmas to me.
Pine garland and berries lay across the mantel. I added a few mercury glass candle holders for the soft glow in the evenings.
You can find the how-to for this $10 advent calendar here.
Simple touches in the kitchen as well. Cookie cutters strung on ribbon and my mom’s old BHG cookbook is all one counter needed.
Just some natural greenery was added to the guest bath. Who doesn’t love a mini Christmas tree?
That completes part 1 of my Christmas home tour! I hope I have you looking forward to the holiday season. Don’t forget to enter the $500 giveaway and make sure to hop on over to the other tours. There are so many beautiful homes and talented bloggers behind them.
Enjoy!
