It’s time to kick off another year of holiday home tours and I for one am beyond excited! Our home is all dolled up with greenery, ribbon, and twinkling lights. Over the next week and a half I’m going to be sharing our timeless Christmas home and I hope you’ll join me for each room.
Today I’m sharing our foyer and family room with you. I’m thrilled to be apart of the very merry Christmas home tour again this year hosted by the talented Carrie from Lovely, Ect. There’s also a fantastic $300 giveaway for one lucky reader! Be sure enter below before you head to the next tour.

Decorating our entry way was pretty effortless. The banister is draped with fresh pine and cedar garland and some satin bows. A little trick for ya, for fuller looking garland, double it up. I use floral wire to join my to garlands together.
I’ll be sharing the how-to for the vintage wall sconces this Saturday on the blog. Aren’t they charming?
Let’s head into the family room.
I adore our mantel. It’s an old oak mantel that doesn’t require a lot of dressing up. Some garland, stockings and mercury glass votives keeps things simple and does the trick!
I moved our red ornaments to our tree upstairs and used only our neutral ornaments. For a classic look I added beaded garland and vintage candle clips with candles. I love the old fashioned look they give the tree.
The family room is where we watch movies, enjoy hot cocoa and play board games. I wanted to keep the coffee table clutter free. An antique silver dish and some vintage ball ornaments give the space elegance without being overly cluttered.
This DIY gingerbread house wreath that I made last month is quickly becoming one of my favorite touches I’ve added this year. The little house lights up and adds the perfect glow to the space.
Glass ornaments, greenery and a cloche make for an easy and quick holiday decoration. I say use what you already have, just rethink it a bit!
