We’ve had weeks of rain here in Georgia and yesterday the clouds took a holiday and we had a beautiful sunny day. It was truly a sight for sore eyes. Charlie and I spent some time outside and while we were out we cut a few blooms to bring inside. I took the change to snap a few photos in the kitchen as well as a few of Charlie’s newest buddy from Cuddle and Kind. They were so sweet to send us Everest the penguin a couple weeks ago and since then he has become one of Charlie’s favorite little animals. We thought he would be the perfect addition to our simple spring table!

Cuddle and Kind was a new company to me but once I read up on their mission I was so inspired. Each animal is hand stitched and for every one sold ten meals are provided for a hungry child. They are partnered with several food programs world-wide. You can find a list of those partners on their website. I have to tell ya, this little guy might be one of the softest animals Charlie has and one of the cutest by far.
They are so many different animals to choose from. They make for a great gift anytime of the year.
Simple Spring Table
With spring right around the corner I wanted to put together a little table idea that I hope will inspire. I called this table simple because it didn’t take any time at all to set up.
I found these cute little nest at Michaels craft store and filled them with one of Charlie’s favorite spring candies, Cadbury chocolate eggs. I love there soft pastel colors. They make for an easy but perfect little spring touch.
I used a pie pan to make a “cookie pie” as we call it. This would also be cute to do in a tart pan. It’s a great treat for little ones. It slices like a dream and no silverware is needed. I wish I could say I have some delicious recipe but honestly this was one of those days I just dumped a tub of Toll House into the pan, ha! We added a few chocolate eggs for some extra chocolate. Can you say sweet? Sometimes chocolate calls and ya gotta answer.
I say this every time but I just love setting his little table for the seasons. It’s a chance for me to ditch the seriousness and have a little fun. It makes life a little sunnier. I’m really itching to share our spring kitchen with you. It’s amazing what some pretty blooms and sunlight can do for a space. It’ll be on the blog next week! We’re getting more pretty days this weekend and my heart is just full thinking about it. Have a wonderful rest of the week friends and I’ll be sure to send some sunny vibes your way!
