Spring time has always been about coming out of my winter funk and bringing a little more life into our home again, which isn’t hard to do with so many beautiful flowers blooming and the sun shining. Honestly, that’s half true. I’m still trying to convince myself of that. On a personal note, I have asthma and suffer from terrible spring allergies. About the time Easter arrives you’ll find me as a walking rash! So, I guess the flowers are a silver lining. However, I couldn’t be happier to welcome you into our home today for our Hello Spring Home Tour 2017!
I’ve shared on Instagram that I’ve been decluttering our home room by room since after the first of the year. I’ve been brutal! I’m not finished just yet but I’m getting there. With that being said, I’ve kept my spring decor extremely simple this year and I’m loving it!
After getting rid of so much unnecessary clutter I just couldn’t bring myself to shop for a bunch of spring items this year. So here’s my no fuss spring home. I’m thrilled to be in such talented company today. We have so much spring inspiration for you so be sure to check out the other homes in the tour when you leave here.
Come on into our family room –
I found these beautiful tulips at Trader Joes and I couldn’t help but to grab up several bundles. There’s nothing quite like fresh spring flowers!
We recently swapped out our upholstered coffee table for this solid surface one. I did love our old coffee table and we actually still have it. I just I like having the wood top for sitting drinks and having the occasional game night. This is a room we spend a lot of our time in as a family. I’ll be sharing our free building plans for this coffee table tomorrow right here on the blog.
Lets step into the kitchen and breakfast nook.
I love the warmer temperatures and colors of spring. I always feel so inspired to bake up something yummy. There always seems to be something delicious to snack on!
I’ve always loved vintage copper. I’ve collected quite a few vintage cookware items over the last couple of years. One thing I’ve been hunting for the last year was a working copper tea kettle. I’m so thrilled to have found this one by Martha Stewart at Macy’s a couple weeks ago. You can find it here if you’ve been looking for one too!
I made sure to declutter our buffet as well. I couldn’t believe all the things that had been sitting on it that were never used. It feels so good to have only the items that serve a purpose.
Lets head up stairs and take a peek into the master bedroom.
Two of the four blue patterned pillow covers that I made from a shower curtain are on our bed. The other two are on the sectional in the living room. You can read more about that here. I love the fresh pop of color that they add to the space. It’s a great way to add a spring touch to the bed!
We also swapped out our heavy fur throw for a lighter summer throw.
You can read all about the most recent furniture piece to enter our home, this antique high boy dresser here. I’ve had a blast styling it for spring. It’s added such a pretty touch to our home.
All the spring touches I’ve done are really simple but I hope you find them inspiring. It doesn’t take much to bring a little spring into your home. Bring in some fresh flowers, swap out those pillow covers and maybe make a light dessert with some fresh berries. You wont regret it!

I so enjoyed your Spring home tour, Amanda! So simple and yet so stunning and beautiful…… Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Lanita! That just means the world to me. I’m so glad you stopped by. 🙂
Amanda,
In recent years, I must admit that I have drifted away from “farmhouse”. But then I see your home, and I freaking fall in love with it all over again. I really could go on and on about what an impeccable stylist and photographer you are. Perfection, my friend. I love it all.
Much Love,
Erica
Oh girl, I’m beyond honored for your sweet comments! Trust me, the feeling is mutual. It’s quite funny actually. I’ve felt the same way about the “farmhouse” style. I’m ashamed to admit that I tend to be a bit rebellious and have found myself steering away from it. I just seems to be so over done these days. I’ve found that in the process of sticking to my vintage style and colonial feel I want my colonial home to have, it still ends up having a farmhouse vibe, ha! I can’t seem to escape it. Oh well, I guess I’ll stick to the classic things I love and maybe next month it’ll be called something else. haha Thank you so much friend for stopping by. Have a great week!
Everything looks lovely – I love all the fresh flowers around. And your bedroom with the checked bedding is just lovely.
Thank you so much Kim! It just would be spring in the south without a few fresh flowers indoors 😉 Thanks for stopping by friend!
So beautiful!!!! I loved this tour. Your copper collection is wonderful and your simple touches of spring are great accents for your beautiful home. Good luck with your de-cluttering 🙂
Thank you so much Nicole! It’s slowly coming along but so worth it. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Cassie! I’ve always loved vintage copper. I just can’t seem to say no when I find something new!
Ah–everything looks so bright and fresh! I wish I’d thought to hit Trader Joe’s for flowers; I wasn’t thrilled with the selection at Kroger. Love your copper collection, and I don’t know that you even mentioned them, but love those little bunnies on your buffet–nice, subtle little touch that gets the point across without screaming Easter at you 🙂
Thanks Gretchen! I absolutely love Trader Joe’s selection and their prices even more. You know, I don’t think I did mention the little bunnies. I found one of those at Hobby Lobby last year for just a couple dollars and I found a second one this year. They’re so cute and fun. Thanks for stopping by!
Your home is so beautiful! I love the shelves in your kitchen full of copper pots and accessories – so gorgeous!
Thank you so much Amanda! 🙂 Have a great week!

Fresh flowers combined with decluttering makes spring so magical! I loved your collection of copper against the white walls too.
Thanks Melissa! Decluttering just makes me feel as though our home can breath again. It makes all those treasures stand out that much more. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
