I must tell you, I love macarons. Not just because they’re delicious, but also because they’re just as equally adorable! They come in so many flavors and colors. They’re more like a piece or art than a cookie. Unfortunately you can’t find them just anywhere. I have to drive a ways to find a bakery that makes them.
I’ve wanted to make them for as long as I can remember, but I was always a little timid. I had read in several places that they are one of the most finicky desserts to make. I just recently got the courage to give them a try and I’m really glad I did! Aside from the fact they’re the most expensive cookie I’ve ever made, they were also one of the most fun!
With Mother’s day right around the corner, these make the perfect little gift! If you follow the recipe exactly, they’ll be a success.

These are such a perfect treat. I love that the raspberry filling is just tart enough to balance the sweetness of the cookies. I’m dying to try some new flavors! Do you have a favorite macaron? Good luck making your own and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
