Has the Christmas season been flying by as quickly for you as it has for me? Every year seems to be gone quicker than the one before it. This year I’ve really been longing for a slow down and to just be in the moment more. This is such a special time of the year for so many reasons and one of those reasons in our home is time with family and friends. We have several friends that we like to call family and last night we shared a lovely pancake dinner together, exchanged gifts and laughs. It was the perfect occasion to dress the dining room table. A few of my blogging friends also thought this was the perfect time to share their Christmas tablesettings as well. We’ve got four ways to set your dining table this Christmas! I love an elegant table but I also lean towards the simple. This tablescape is extremely simple but is also an elegant Christmas tablescape.

I love little glass ornaments. They’re timeless and such a fun touch when decorating for Christmas. Each place setting has it’s own little gold ornament.
The center of the table has fresh garland running down the center sprinkled with pine cones and gold ornaments. I used free tree clippings in each plant urn and hung more ornaments from them. I scattered tea candles inside my favorite mercury glass votives down the middle of the table to add the perfect ambiance. You can see our full Christmas kitchen and dining room here.
Classic white beaded dishes, natural linen napkins and gold silverware make for a simple place setting.
This look only took me a few minutes to throw together. The centerpiece is quite fun and a bit whimsical. It’s not super fancy but I had everything already on hand. I love it when that happens! Before you head to the store for greenery always check your yard first. I have found the perfect clippings in the past from trees or shrubs from my own yard.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and happy holiday entertaining! Now, hop on over to the next stop and say hello. There are three more beautiful Christmas tablescapes waiting for ya!
