This simple spring tulip arrangement is placed in a DIY nest for a grand and colorful effect. It’s the perfect centerpiece for spring! Here’s our easy tutorial for this blooming nest of tulips.
I haven’t been this excited about a post since well, Christmas! I love the winter months for the rest that they provide and for the small or should I say tiny amount of snow we get here in north Georgia, but that’s about it. My heart is always happy when I start to see some spring color. Although, we’re about to go into another cold spell I can’t help but to dream of warmer and brighter days. Over the weekend I couldn’t help but to load up on tulips while I was at the grocery store. You guys know my love for fresh flowers! By the time I got them home I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.
A couple of years ago I was going through old 90’s Martha Stewart magazines that I’ve collected. While flipping through on my eyes landed on this beautiful photo of a bird’s nest packed with flowers. There wasn’t a tutorial or really any info on it but I saved it anyways. I knew it would serve as inspiration for another time. Well, this spring was that time! After cruising the aisles of the craft store with zero luck finding a large enough nest, I found a roll of grapevine. I’m used to seeing grapevine wreaths but never a roll, almost garland ish. I knew I would loosen it up a bit and make the perfect nest.
Once I got it home I didn’t unwind it. I simply pulled it gently in an upward motion to size it some height. You wanted to be careful not to loosen it too much that the vine begins to fall apart.

I used a bowl that fit well i the center of the grapevine nest. I used floral tape to create a grid pattern on the top to hole the tulip stems in place.
Lastly, I trimmed all of the tulips to a size that I liked and arranged them in the bowl. I also picked a few daffodils from our yard to add a pop of yellow. Like tulips, they’re the perfect touch of spring.
I’m loving the fresh color it’s added to our family room! It might be cold and rainy outside but inside we’re enjoying an early spring.
The possibilities with the grapevine wreath are endless. I can’t wait to use it elsewhere this spring and summer. My brain is already thinking of ideas, such as a dining table centerpiece. Keep an eye out for that, friends! I hope that it inspires you this spring in your decorating. I know so many of your are buried in snow right now, so I hope it gives you something to look forward too. Check out the next blog on our hop today!
