Here’s a look at our a few of our favorite early fall essentials for the upcoming season! From cozy textures and warm tones to cookbooks and autumn scents, we’ve got ya covered!
I know, I know. You’re probably thinking, it’s still summer! You’re right, but I think it’s the perfect time to look ahead and plan for the upcoming fall season. I’ve always loved collecting things over time so that I have that much more time to enjoy our home during the present season. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite things that will take your home right into the fall season!
Pillows
Throw pillows are such an easy way to welcome a new season into your home. Towards the beginning of a new season I swap my pillow covers out over time within the span of several weeks. I like to pick pillows that work well with pillows I already own and that can be used for other seasons as well.
This year, like most, I’m gravitating towards the natural colors of the season. Warm creams, wheats, soft oranges and muted greens are all catching my eye when it comes to textiles. There are so many pretty color combinations for the season. Stick with what you love!
Bedding
I’ve always loved coordinating our bed linens to the current season. In the fall I usually incorporate warmer colors and start adding an extra layer or two. I bring out the knitted throws and pillows with natural autumn colors. This year I’m using a warm natural colored linen quilt with a down comforter and duvet.
Decor
When it comes to decor, I love to use natural elements. Foliage, pumpkins and gourds are my go-to. For early fall, just a few foliage stems, real or faux and a seasonal scented candle do the trick! Woven trays and baskets even look more charming in autumn. Utilizing what you have on hand and rearranging it can bring a fresh feel to a space for a new season. I truly believe simple and less is more motto is best.
Kitchen Tools
Is there ever a better time for baking than in the fall? Not in my opinion. The spices, savory soups and pumpkin desserts are comfort food to the belly and soul. There are several things that I use year after year in the kitchen during the fall season, these are just a few to kick off the season.
I hope you all have a great weekend friends and happy shopping!
