Wow! Is it really that time of year again? I’m thrilled to be joining up with such a great group of ladies to bring you the Very Merry Christmas Home Tour 2016! This kicks off the first part of my Christmas home. I’ll be showing the rest of our home throughout the next week. Ive always loved looking at Christmas home tours from some of my favorite bloggers so naturally I love sharing my own. Nothing gets ya in the Christmas spirit faster, I promise! This is my second year sharing our home at Christmas time on the blog but this is the first Christmas in our new house home. I have had a blast getting it Christmas ready and adding all those traditional touches.
Come take the tour with me and afterwards you’ll have the chance to enter in our awesome cash giveaway that you can put towards all of your holiday shopping!
Our family room is one of my favorite rooms in our house. It’s one of the first rooms we redid when we started renovating exactly a year ago today.
I loved the plaid touches so much last year that I made sure to incorporate them this year as well. I added some new DIY ticking stripe fabric pillows as well.
Fresh garland on the mantel and some simple candles give it a traditional yet effortless feel. (Don’t worry, we don’t light the candles with the garland near by!)
Now off to the kitchen & breakfast nook!
I kept the kitchen simple with just small touches of greenery. I did not want to have too much in the way of the holiday baking that goes on the in Becker house. Our sugar cookie tree is our first Christmas baking of the season.
These Santa mugs have been one of my absolute favorite things in our home at Christmas time the last two years. I decided this year to order four more. They’re just too cute not to have on hand for guest!
I hope you all have a wonder Christmas season and gain some holiday inspirations from our tours today. There’s a style for everyone in blog hop. The home is such a special place and adding those holiday touches make it that much more special.
Merry Christmas friends!

Wow! Everything is absolutely magical. The chalkboard sign is the best. And the touches of plaid.
Thank you so much Kim! I need to be better about using my chalk board with the holidays. I’m completely horrible at chalkboard art. I totally cheated with that one 😉
Amanda, your look dressed for Christmas looks absolutely wonderful! I love the fireplace mantel in your family room and your kitchen looks so pretty with all the greenery.
HI Amanda, love-love-love your kitchen sink. Please tell me where to find it.
Thank you so much Elaine! It’s from Ikea actually. Here is a ling to a blog post that I did recently talking all about it. There’s a direct link at the bottom of the post for the sink. 🙂
Sorry, I’m not finding the link.
I’m so sorry! I guess it would help if I included it in my comment to you. Here it is- http://thetaleofanuglyhouse.com/our-new-kitchen-counter-tops-sink/
Where did you order the Santa mugs from?
Karen, I purchased them as a box set from Pottery Barn. They have them every year at Christmas time. They go on sale several times during the season, so they’re pretty affordable!
Hi! Where did you get your buffalo checke curtains?
I made them. I purchased the fabric from Joann’s. 🙂
Amazing! I love it 🙂 let me know if you have any tips or tutorials. If not it’s ok just want to re create
Would you please share the source for your black checked kitchen curtains? I have the same sink, countertop, backsplash – and window setup – in my remodeled kitchen and I would love to add those curtains! Your kitchen looks so beautiful and classic!
