Each year we love decorating Charlie’s tree all together and adding fun Christmas touches to his room. It’s a simple classic children’s Christmas bedroom!
This is a first here on Sincerely, Marie. This year I decided to share Charlie’s Christmas bedroom. Each year he and I decorate a tree and add a few kid-friendly touches to his room, but I’ve never shared it on the blog. This year I’m just loving his tree this year and decided to share in hopes that’ll his snowy Christmas bedroom with inspire you as well!
This year I put our flocked tree in Charlie’s room. I like to move things around and change it up a bit each year. It keeps things fun! I also thought that the faux snow look would be super cute in his room. If you missed it, you can read here how I gave two skimpy trees a little love, including this flocked tree.
We’ve been collecting ornaments for his tree since he was one. In our last home his room was smaller so we had a simple table top tree that would sit on his dresser. This year I upgraded him to a bigger tree that we had in our master bedroom last year. We added a few more ornaments to his tree this year, some that I purchased or made and some that his Nana bought for him.
Charlie loves animals so the sweet animal ornaments have stuck over the years. We’ve added a couple new ones each Christmas season. These two from his Nana are two of my favorites.
Between the polar bears, birds, bears, and puppies, this three is too cute! I filled the rest of the tree in with stuffed fabric trees, large snow flakes and glittered letters and trucks.
We’re giving his woven blue throw blanket a rest and swapped it out with a knitted red throw. A classic Santa pillow makes for a festive reading corner each day.
A homemade plaid pillow cover and a fun vintage car pillow add a touch of Christmas to his bed.
Children’s room don’t need a lot to feel festive. Even with the smaller tabletop tree, his room has always felt so magical. As a child I never had Christmas decor in my bedroom but I knew that it was something I wanted to do for my children. It’s not necessary but it makes things just a little extra special. It’s become a sweet traditional for Charlie and I to decorate this tree each year with all of his favorite ornaments and talk about all kinds of sweet things. I can honestly say our home is truly festive throughout. Merry Christmas friends!
