Let me start out by saying, I love all things fall! The baking, the chill in the air, the warm colors and of course the pumpkins. When I ran across a tutorial by View From the Fridge for flannel coasters I was in love. I mean, come on . . . they’re adorable right? What I loved even more about this project was that I had some small bits of leftover fabric from a pillow cover that I made last fall using an old flannel shirt. The only other thing you need is a couple sheets of felt. They’re super cheap at any craft store.
You can find the full tutorial here. I’ve used mine a few times now and absolutely love them! They’re such a fun way to bring a touch of fall into my living room and lets face it, they’re the cutest fall coasters I’ve ever seen.
You can also see my pillow cover that I made from the old shirt in my fall home tour from last year here.
I’m slowly adding fall decor around my house. I’m not done yet but I hope to share my fall home tour with you all in just a couple weeks. I’m going for simple and easy this year. If you want affordable and festive without going over the top you’ll want to come back in a couple weeks and check it out.
I hope you guys have a great rest of the week. I’m crossing my fingers for cooler weather and some enjoyable time outdoors. 🙂
