This year I started holiday preparations early. Basic Invite made it easy to get our classic Christmas cards printed and ready to mail this holiday season!
I know it’s not quite Halloween yet but I wanted to share some of the preparations we’re making this year to make the Christmas season a little easier on ourselves. I always have high hopes this time of the year, hopes that I’ll get my shopping done early, that I’ll get my Thanksgiving and Christmas menu planned and make it to all of the holiday activities. Most years I don’t get everything done as early as I would like but this year I’m making great strides! Let’s talk about one thing we have done this year to make sure our holiday season is a little less stressful.
So much has gone digital these days but mailing Christmas cards is one tradition I refuse to give up. There’s something so exciting and magical about getting a personalized card in the mail. I personally look forward to it every year. This fall I finally got around to getting our Christmas cards ordered ahead of time. I worked with our sponsor Basic Invite to make them happen. In the past if I’ve managed to get cards out they were always last minute. This year I wanted to be a little more organized. Basic Invite has over 500 card options for your family’s holiday cards or invitations for a holiday party. They’re also one of the only companies that allows you to order a printed sample of your card so that you can see in person what it looks ad feels like before you order. We wanted something simple and timeless this year. I couldn’t be happier with our choice.
I chose the Country Moose card. I went with a style and colors that give a glimpse of what to expect with our Christmas decor this season. They have an endless number of colors to choose from, so you can personalize it to your tastes. It’s one of the only stationary companies I know of that offers 180 different color options. They also have beautiful foil cards available in silver, gold, and rose gold. If you’re looking for something elegant that will really catch your eye it’s a great choice.
The envelopes are also available in several colors, 40 to be exact. My favorite thing of all just might be their address capturing service. You can simple share a link on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to request the addresses of your friends. It then stores their address for you so that you can select it during the design process. They offer recipient address printing for free on all Christmas card orders, friends! There were a couple addresses I didn’t manage to get but most of our cards are ready to go! The back of the envelopes are peel and seal so Charlie is going to be so relieved that he doesn’t have to help him mom lick envelopes this year, ha!
Every year I throw Charlie a Christmas party for him and a couple buddies. I’m really looking forward to getting those invitations made early too. They have so many adorable kids Christmas cards. They’ve got a great sale going on currently that I’m planning on taking advantage of. Right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off your holiday card order with the code holi30.
If you’re ready to get organized this holiday so that you can stress less and enjoy the Christmas season with you family this year, getting your holiday cards knocked off the list is a great place to start. Later this week I’m sharing what else I’m doing to prep our home for the holidays. I hope you’ll join me so we can get organized together! Hop over to Basic Invite and take a peak at their pretty card options. I just know you’ll be inspired too!

I so agree with your comment about everything going digital. I like sending and receiving Christmas cards. Opening them, reading them and then putting them on display. I feel quite cheated when I get my Christmas greeting via email.
I did enjoy your post.
