Summer is a laid back season and doesn’t require much fuss when it comes to decorating. I’ve used collected items throughout our home to create a cozy and welcoming space. Here’s our classic summer home tour!
Today kicks off our summer home tour and I’m so happy you’re here! If you’re coming over from Finding Silver Pennies, welcome. Danielle’s home is the perfect blend of cozy and classic. Cozy and classic is also the vibe we go for in our home. I love all things classic, timeless and traditional. Our family room especially has a fun mix of new and old. This summer I really wanted to highlight those curated items that we treasure so much. If you’re ready for summer as much as well are come and take a look!
Summer isn’t necessarily season I decorate for. I like to keep things simple fresh. I do like to incorporate more blues and greens with lots of live greenery throughout our home.
Simple found items are fun to decorate with and really add charm to a space. My antique and vintage finds are some of my favorite things to decorate with.
I kept some of our old pine’s chest the same since spring but I did move a few things around to freshen it up a bit. Sometimes rearranging a few things you already have is just want you need to make a space look new.
I love to cook and bake and the older I get the more I feel less is more in the kitchen. I kept the decor to a minimum in order to keep counter tops clear and clean.
One of my favorite items in our home is this basket tray. I have it linked below for you. I use it throughout out home and I makes a great tray for not just serving but for vignettes as well. This simple summer vignette is easy and quick to assemble.
Much of our home has stayed the same since spring but lucky for us summer is a laid back season. We’ve been able to ease into it slowly and let our home do the same. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing our dining room and bedroom and I hope you’ll join me. For now, hop on over to Amber Tysl’s and say hello. Her style is so pretty and fresh! I just know you’ll love her home as much as I do. Have a lovely summer, friends!
