We recently wrapped up our dining room makeover a coupe weeks ago. You can see the before and after here. One of the furniture pieces we added to the room was this RH inspired rolling cart that I built. I wanted an open storage piece that could house some of our dishes and serving ware. I fell in love with this cart by RH but did not love the price tag. I knew I could make it on our own for much less. Lucky for me I was able to find the plans already on Ana-White’s site. You can those plans here.
I did alter the plans to fit our space. We made our shelves more narrow, at 12″ wide instead of 18″. I also decided to us a 1×12 instead of 2″ thick boards. I liked the lighter look and it tied in well with our dining table. This was a quick afternoon build and cost me right around $65 to build. I did already have the stain on hand.
I absolutely love how it turned out and I think it fits our space perfectly! I hope you all have a great week and will join be back on Thursday for our summer home tour! You can find a full source list below.
