Our spring home is the combination of fresh and classic. I’ve kept things simple and timeless. Come on in and take a look at our classic spring home tour!
Spring has sprung friends and I couldn’t be more excited. If you’re coming over from Seeking Lavender Lane, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Isn’t my friend Deb’s new home gorgeous? I’m in love with every square inch. Her style is understated and elegant, just perfect. Big thanks to my friend Marty from A Stroll Thru Life for hosting and putting this big tour hop together for everyone! I’ve been looking forward to this home tour as soon as the tree began to bloom here. I always look forward to home tours but there’s just something about spring after a long and gray winter. I’ve added lots of fresh colors, pretty blooms and classic decor touches that say spring to me throughout our home. Spring has always been an easy time of the year for me to decorate. Maybe its the soft pinks, blues and greens that have me smitten or maybe all of the fresh flowers to choose from. Either way it’s a season a truly enjoy and I love that my home can reflect that. With that said, lets take a look around!
We’re blessed to have so many beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers on our property. It only takes a couple of cherry bloom clippings to really make a statement in a space. I found this basket at one of my favorite antique stores a while back. It might be older but it’s a sturdy little guy. I use it when I go to clip foliage from our yard to bring in. It’s handles make it easy to carry and tote around.

I like to keep the foyer as clutter-free as possible. If we get too many jackets or shoes around the front door I start to get a little anxious. Once a week I try to keep them in check by moving the over flow to our coat closet. It allows the foyer to stay clean and functional.

Come on into our family room!
Our family room is one of my favorite rooms in our home. Since my Josh and Charlie moved the XBox to an upstairs TV I’ve been able to enjoy it that much more, ha! This room gets a lot of use. Our washable slipcover makes it easy to keep clean. I recently put on a fresh slipcover on our sectional and ottoman and swapped out our winter throw pillows with ones that are more colorful for spring. Here’s my tutorial for my simple spring pillow covers . I decluttered and did a little deep cleaning earlier this month and recently added some fresh cherry blossom stems. I really like to keep things simple and airy this time of the year.
I swapped out my striped ottoman slipcover out for this more neutral, linen one. Here’s my tutorial for making your own ottoman slipcover.
Spring isn’t really spring without a little blue and white check. I’ve loved the check pattern for as long as I can remember. When I was little I had an Easter basket with a check fabric that lined the inside. Maybe it’s the fond memories of Easter that I remember when I see a small check print. It just makes me happy!
I like to switch up our mantel quite often. Sometimes I just have our two glass hurricanes and other times I add framed artworks or a wreath. I recently found this pretty antique trophy urn at one of my favorite antique stores. I think it looks just perfect on our mantel with a few cherry blossoms.
This little nook in the back of our family room is such a fun spot to decorate. I added some pretty tulips to add a spring feel. Tulips are the epitome of spring for me. I make sure to keep a few bunches in our home this time of the year. Normally I’m a real flower kinda gal only. However, these are an exception. They’re actually faux tulips, but boy do they feel and look real! You can read all about where I got them and why I love them so much here.

To the left of our family room is our kitchen and breakfast nook.
Like our foyer, I like to keep our kitchen as clutter-free as possible. I can just think more clearly and I’m more creative in a clean kitchen. I do a lot of cooking and baking so I like to keep our counter tops as clear as possible, with the exception of fresh flowers of course.
Every season I switch of my dish soaps and hand soaps. It’s silly really but I just love having a soap that is current with the season. This sweet peony dish soap from Williams Sonoma is one of my all time favorites. I also love their white Gardenia soap as well.
I don’t show this side of my kitchen much, typically because it’s on the messy side, ha! It’s were we keep a lot of our baking things as well as our coffee maker. It has a way of becoming a catch all. This summer my goal is to order some custom doors for the above cabinets. As much as I love having the open space to display dishes, I really need the closed storage space. I have too many baking and cooking things I suppose but I just love them and I’m not quite ready to part with them yet. I’ll move these prettier items to the shelves in our breakfast nook or dining room.
Our breakfast room is my other favorite room in our home. It has the most beautiful natural lighting and is my go-to spot for sipping coffee in the mornings. You can find all the details on our spring tablescape in our blooming nest of tulips post. I think every home should have a nest of pretty flowers!

Off the kitchen is our powder/laundry room. It’s a shared space, which can be tricky at time but we make it work!
I like to keep live greenery in the space. This room gets great natural lighting as well, so plants do well here. This room got a deep cleaning this month as well as a sweet new decor item.
I found this adorable dust pan and round broom at a local antique store not too long ago and I’m completely smitten. The moment I saw it I knew it had to come home with me. I love finding things that I’ve never seen before. It’s those sort of things that make a home unique and give it character.

Such a gorgeous tour! I love your heartfelt collection of decor versus the got it at whatever catalog look that we so often see. Bravo!!! Happy spring!
Thank you, Laura! My goal is to always stay true to our family and what we really love and treasure. I’m so glad that comes across in my photos. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful spring!
I love your style and how you mix in a few antiques here and there for a little spice. Your kitchen is a favorite, it is always so beautifully decorated and your dining area is where you would fine me most of the time too. Gorgeous. Thanks so much for joining the 2019 Spring Home Tour.
Aww thank you so much, Marty! I’m thrilled I could join such talented ladies on this tour. If only you lived closer you could join me for a couple of coffee in our breakfast nook. We could sit and talk design all afternoon. Have a beautiful spring season!
Your home is always so beautiful! You did such an amazing job. I love how you have Spring greenery sprinkled in everywhere. I need to be better about getting some live greenery into my home!
Thank you so much, Holly! Fresh greenery really is my go-to. I say go for it! There’s so much in bloom to choose from right now too. Happy Spring!
It’s all so lovely! I love your fireplace and simple spring mantel. Is it the original mantel in your home? I have been looking for a salvage one in that style.
So happy to he touring with you this week. Happy spring!
Thanks Amber! It is the original mantel. I do see ones similar from time to time at antique markets and sometimes on the fb yard sale. Good luck on your hunt! I’m sure you’ll find the perfect one. Have a great spring season, friend!
as always your home is so bright, fresh …and clean. how do you do it with little one….i need your secret.
Awe thanks, friend! As far as keeping it clean, the window seat behind the sectional is full of toys and whatever else I threw in there before I shot photos, ha! It helps too that almost everything has a slipcover so I can wash and bleach is needed. 😉
So so beautiful Amanda, love all your fun antique finds!!?
Thank you so much Andrea! I love decorating this time of the year… I feel like I say that with every season but I really do love spring. 🙂
It’s stunning as always, Amanda! Every time I see your fireplace screen I have to pin it; hopefully I’ll stumble across one like it one of these days! And I do love your little broom and pan. Could it be a vintage crumb catcher? It’s gorgeous! It’s always a pleasure to tour with you–happy spring!
Awe thank you so much, Christy! I’ve been keeping a look out myself. I’ve always thought If I found one I could ship it to ya. Fingers crossed! You know what… I think you’re right! I bet it is a crumb catcher. I hadn’t thought about that. Have a wonderful spring season, friend!
Love the fresh, simple touches you incorporate into your entire home. I love the living room, and feel as though I recently saw it in a magazine. Well – it’s magazine worthy!
Thanks Rachelle! Our living room is one of my favorite rooms. It’s funny you say so, our spring tour from last year was in this months issue of American Farmhouse magazine. Maybe that’s where you say it. 🙂

I just love your home! The clippings from your yard look beautiful – I can’t wait until ours are out. Also, that little dust pan is the cutest thing ever!

Yes! I was looking at a farm house magazine. How fun to see even more of your beautiful home.
Amanda, I love every detail! It’s all so perfect every square inch!
Your home is beautifully decorated for spring with just the amount of pretty details to brighten it up for the season. So beautiful, as always! xoxo
Your home is so beautiful, warm and decorated to perfection! 🙂
Your home is truly a classic beauty! From the art to the pillows, it just all makes me feel at home! What a blessing to have all those fresh branches to enjoy indoors!
Love everything, especially the dreamy creamy color palette! I have those same Pottery Barn books, classic style.
It looks so fresh and pretty. I love the spring colors and branches. I have a wine cooler like that and haven’t wanted to polish it. So now I will allow myself to use as is. Thanks. Keep up the beautiful posts.
