It’s finally spring, friends! I was beginning to wonder if winter was ever going to make it’s exit. This girl actually is one of those weirdos who likes winter but it over-stayed it’s welcome a bit this year. I was so ready to brighten up our home for the new season. If you’re coming from Decor Gold Designs, welcome! Isn’t Jennifer’s home just gorgeous? Spring is one of my favorite times of the year to fresh up our decor. I gravitate toward the soft colors and really love the greens, blues and pops of soft pink. Decorating for spring doesn’t have to be a big ordeal or anything fancy. The simple touches just so happen to be my favorite. I thought that our spring bedroom would be the perfect post to share with you how-to add simple spring touches to your bedroom.
I’ve got the pleasure of sharing my spring space with a few very talented bloggers on this tour hosted by my friend Krista, The Happy Housie. I hope you stop by their spring spaces when you leave here and say hello. I know they have a ton of inspiration in store for you!

Swap Out Winter Bedding for Bedding With Fresh, Bright color
I’ve retired the ticking stripes duvet for a while and brought out my favorite vintage style floral duvet. I love the color it adds to the room. It makes this little heart happy! I paired it with a white quilt, sheets and linen euro shames. The heavier, knitted throw was replaced a lightweight throw.
Incorporate Some Greenery
I’m a fresh flowers gal all the way. If you follow my blog you probably haven’t seen a post yet without some fresh blooms. I make sure to pick up a bundle with every weekly grocery run. I love the life and joy it adds to our home. You can see my tips on decorating with grocery store flowers here. If you prefer greenery that you don’t have to replace frequently, seek out some quality faux stems. It adds instant life and color to any space.
Throw In Some Spring Prints
I love updating my prints with each season. You can find so many great prints on Etsy that are marked affordably. This vintage bird print was a freebie and you can grab your copy here. It’s just perfect for spring!
Declutter your Space
Sprucing up your room can be as easy as doing some good old fashion cleaning and decluttering. It’s a great way to gain a fresh look without spending any money. I don’t know about you but out house always accumulates things during the holidays. It feels nice to unload it after the winter months.
Use A Light Scented Candles or Defuse A Fresh Scented Oil
I use my defuser on a weekly bases and it has become one of my favorite ways to give a room a little lift. My personal favorite oil for this time of the year is Citrus Bliss. I also like to use soy candles that have light scents. Not to mention, they have the prettiest glow.
Do you decorate for spring? If so, what is you favorite way to incorporate it? There is so many easy thing you can do. It doesn’t take much, friends. I hope you’ll hop over to Amber Tysl next and take a look at her home dressed for spring!

Thank you so much, Sharon! I’m so happy I finally got around to updating that photo. Josh is such a large part of this blog, just behind the curtain. It seemed fitting. Thanks for stopping by!
Absolutely gorgeous bedroom, Amanda, and I love your spring tips! So glad you could be on this tour!
I love your bedroom, Amanda, and the pops of fresh color you’ve added! So gorgeous!
Hugs, Jamie
Oh, my goodness! This bedroom is so restful and soothing! The flowers and prints do add a springtime look to it, but those delightful linens make the bed so inviting! I could just sink in that bed and never want to leave! Love the brass rod with the curtains, and I love the candle and dresser vignettes. That tall dresser with the mirror by the windows is marvelous! The only thing is for me, I need a lot of space on my nightstand, even with wall-mounted reading lights. I need room for my iPad, glasses, tissues, bed-time supplements. hand lotion, lip balm, all those things that I want to have handy in the middle of the night. I would definitely need to find a bigger nightstand, especially one with drawers. Thank you for giving us the name of your wall paint. That is a great white color! Love it!
It’s beautiful, Amanda. Love your bedding!!
Amanda, that bedding us absolutely gorgeous! And I love the flowers that you chose… Everything is perfect! Happy Easter and happy spring! Xoxo

Gorgeous bedroom! I love your bed linens! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, Laura! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Where did you find the stunning beside wall lamp? They make such a statement!
They’re originally from Wayfair. However, they no longer sell them. I did find them at Bed Bath and Beyond. There is a direct link to them in the post just after my source list. There’s a little thumbnail photo. Just click that and it’ll take you right to them. 🙂 We’ve had them about two years and we love them! They really do make a great statement and they free up the nightstands, which I love.
Did you paint all of the doors in your house the dark color? I love the look but have several dark areas in my house and I am not sure if the dark doors will work. I am afraid the dark doors would make those rooms and areas darker. What do you think?
We did paint them. They’re painted in Graphite by Benjamin Moore. We had white doors in our last house and I hated how grubby they would start looking after a lot of use. I love the dark doors. I have a dark painted dining room and I think they work in that room as well! We have darker area’s in our home due to a wooded lot but I don’t mind them. You could always paint one door and live with it a bit and see what you think. It does take some time to paint them all so I would make sure you’re ready to commit before you do them all. I say start in one room first!
Thanks for the response! I think I will try one door as recommended and see how I like it! Thanks for the suggestion. I will let you know how it goes.
I love your blog and facebook posts!
