Tabletop Tree With Our 12 Days of Christmas Printable Ornaments

It’s hard to believe that it’s just 16 days until Christmas. The holiday season always flies by and rarely do I get everything checked off my to-do list. This year we just had to say no to some things in order to do the activities that are the most important to us. Spending quality time with family and friends is always a must and that’s exactly what we did when we made these sweet printable ornaments! A couple of weeks ago Charlie and I popped some popcorn, put on a movie and got to work on these 12 Days of Christmas ornaments. They’re super affordable and easy to make. I hope you love them as much as I do! 

Our tabletop tree and nutcracker ornaments were such a big hit with readers that I had several of you email me this year asking for something similar again this year. Several people said they made the ornaments with their children and grandchildren and gifted them to friends and family. I love that you enjoyed that project so much!

I made these ornaments just as I did the Nutcracker ornaments. 

How-To Make The Ornaments

You’ll need:

• 12 Days of Christmas Printable 1-6 and 12 Days of Christmas Printable 7-12
• Vintage Style Glass Glitter (Silver) & Glass Glitter (Gold) 
• Glue
• Ribbon of Choice (I like to shop Hobby Lobby’s sewing department for velvet & satin ribbons.)

Instructions – (You can see step by step photos of the instructions in our printable Nutcracker gift tag tutorial & ornament tutorial.) 

1. Print the ornaments from your computer at home or at a local print shop or office supply store. Cut the ornaments out on the provided cut-line and use a hole punch to make a hole at the top for your ribbon. 
2. Make a thin line around the outside of the ornament with Elmer’s glue and spoon on your glass glitter. Gently pick up the ornament and dump any excess glitter. Lay the ornaments on paper or cardboard to dry overnight.
3. Once dry, cut ribbon in 8 inch pieces and feed through the hole and tie. 

The 12 ornaments fill a small tabletop tree perfectly! You can find our 3′ tree HERE. We also added vintage glass ornaments and small candle holders. The German candle holders are from Etsy, but you can purchase similar ones HERE. We use them every year with petite candles that I bought from Hobby Lobby. I don’t typically light them, but I love the old-fashioned look of them. Light with caution!

Our tabletop tree sits in the back of our living room. I love that we have not one but two trees with twinkling lights in this room. It’s extra cozy in the evenings. It’s a simple yet festive touch for this little corner. I look forward to decorating this tree and coming up with new ideas for it each year. It has a mixture of vintage and homemade ornaments, but I think the homemade ornaments are what make this tree truly special.
