I’ve been taking my time this holiday season and slowly adding Christmas touches to each room. I normally have our home completely decorated by this time but this year I’ve struggled a bit when it comes to decking the halls. I’ve been enjoying fall so much that I haven’t felt very inspired to break out the trees and decor. I normally wouldn’t worry about holding off on the Christmas decor but when you have home tours the week after Thanksgiving you gotta start sooner than later. I finally made the push last week to make the transition. Wouldn’t you know it, as soon as I started taking things out of their boxes the inspiration started to flow. I wanted to share a few things that I’ve found in the last couple of weeks that are classic pieces that you can use year after year.
For the Mantel
Set of 3 Boxwood Wreaths | Knitted Stockings | Set of 3 Nutcrackers | Berry Sprig Garland
These sweet boxwood wreaths would look great most anyplace and I love that they come in a set of three and they’re ready to hang.
These timeless knitted stockings come in four pretty colors and would be the perfect addition to any fireplace.
Would Christmas be complete without a nutcracker or two? I think not! This set is classic with its red, green and gold colors.
No mantel is complete without a little greenery. I love the look of this garland. It’s pine sprigs give it a natural look.
For the Tree
Ornament Garland | Mini Copper Ornaments | Mercury Glass Ornaments
I recently stumbled across this mercury glass ornament garland and knew I had to have it! They price is amazing and even if you’re not in the need of garland the ornaments could be cut from the twine and hung on your tree just like any other ornament. One of these ornaments would run you anywhere from $7-20 a piece. These are a steal!
Not too long ago I was in World Market looking around and found these adorable mini copper ornaments. There are several bake ware ornaments to choose from but the tea kettle just might be my favorite.
I’m a huge fan of mercury glass ornaments and have been collecting them for years now. Our family room tree is fully dressed in them. Each year I pick up one or two to remember the year by.
For the Table
Vintage Inspired Santa Mugs | Mercury Glass Trees | Plaid Table Runner | Letters to Santa Mailbox | Plaid Letter Mugs
These vintage inspired Santa mugs are a favorite in our home. I’ve bought a couple of sets over the years and each Christmas season I look forward to breaking them out. I love the petite size and most people who visit us think they’re old. They’re a classic that remains timeless.
You know I love mercury glass ornaments so it’s no surprise that I’d love a good mercury glass tree. These glass trees would look stunning all lined up down your dining room table or grouped on a mantel.
Every Christmas table needs a festive runner. You can’t go wrong with plaid. I love the traditional colors of this particular runner and the price isn’t too bad either.
How cute is that Santa mailbox? If we didn’t have a red one already I’d jump on this one. The green color is adorable and such a fun thing to have with little ones running around.
These plaid letter mugs are gorgeous and would be perfect for your next movie and hot cocoa night. They would also make a great hostess gift to take with you to all of your holiday parties.
Get Cozy
Ivory Knitted Throw | Plaid Duvet & Shams | Embroidered Tree Throw Pillow | Lynbrook Plaid Throw
I’m a complete sucker for white knitted throws. I have a few already but I don’t think I can resist this one with those sweet little balls. It would be such a pretty and cozy addition to any armchair.
If you haven’t noticed already I love plaids! I’ve had my eye on this duvet for a couple of years now. This just might be the year that I take the plunge and buy it. It had such a festive and classic look that would go with most any throw pillows.
I found this gorgeous throw pillow this week and fell in love. The dark green and ivory match right in with our home’s decor this year. The embroidered trees are such a beautiful touch.
Last but not certainly least is the Lynbrook throw. I purchased my own last month and have been smitten ever since. It’s has such beautiful and rich colors. Charlie seems to have adopted it as his own. I might just have to buy a second one.
No matter how you ring in the season I know that you’ll love these items as much as I do. Their classic look will give your Christmas decor a timeless feel for years to come. Have a great weekend friends and happy shopping!
